Here lives the most personal side of my photography, a collection of images born from curiosity, memory, feeling and the quiet things that stay with me.
amor por pele
“Amor por Pele” was born from a need to understand my body beyond what is expected of it. Its shapes, curves, textures. A place where I allowed myself to exist in profound vulnerability, seeing the body not simply as an image, but as organic matter, territory, and an endless possibility of light, shadow, form, and perception.
Through these photographs, I began to meet myself differently. To look beyond the person reflected back at me and discover a body that could become landscape, gesture, texture, language. Somewhere along the way, this act of looking became part of how I learned to inhabit myself, shaping both my sense of identity and the tenderness with which I began to see my own image.
Started in 2021, “Amor por Pele” is still unfolding. It continues to move with me through different versions of myself, returning again and again as a quiet place of discovery. I hope for these images to travel beyond me, becoming an invitation for others to encounter themselves under unfamiliar light, within new shadows, and through gentler ways of seeing.
Self-portraits
Self-portraits have been my longest conversation with photography. I began as a teenager (2016), searching for a reflection that felt more truthful than the one I carried within myself. Since then, the camera has become less a mirror and more a place to return to. Each image holds a fragment of who I was in that moment. uncertainties, tenderness, grief, resilience. Through curves, textures, light and silence, I keep learning that a body doesn't need to be understood to be worthy of being seen.
carnaval 2026
Between drums and glitter, the body unravels and remakes itself in the street. In these images, I approach Brazilian Carnival as one would approach a ritual, not to decipher it, but to feel its traces. As a Brazilian photographer, I photograph from within this cultural memory, through a gaze shaped by its rhythms, symbols, and contradictions. Feathers, sweat, color, gesture. Everything pulses like a collective memory, just before the ashes quiet the avenue.
